Where did I learn the art of piano moving? On a trip to a local music store, I met a gentleman from Long Island interested in moving upstate to the Adirondacks. He told me he was a musician, experienced in piano repair and tuning, and was looking to start a piano moving company in the North Country. I offered to help load a piano he was planning to repair in order to demonstrate his work to potential clients. And that’s how Two Cool Piano Guys started. We spent the next 11 years moving pianos from NYC to Plattsburg to and from venues that included museums, institutions, performance facilities and the general public. I gained experience and skill in moving and setting up all types of pianos from concert pianos to square grands and everything in between. In 2011 my partner left the area and passed the torch down to me. My new partner owns and operates a school of music and a retail store. Together, our combined knowledge sets us apart as the most experienced, professional and qualified piano moving service in upstate NY.
